- Submit application: Within 30 days before the certificate of registrar expires, the registrar and registrar shall send an application for re-issuance of the registrar's certificate (enclosed with a color photo of size 4 cm x 6 cm, photographed in the form of an identity card, within 6 months) to the Vietnam Register.

- Handle:

+ Within 05 working days from the date of receipt of the request, the Vietnam Registry Department shall notify the plan on the time and place for conducting professional assessments of surveyors at the registry. The time to conduct the assessment shall not exceed 05 working days from the date of notification.

+ Within 03 working days from the date of assessment, if the requirements are met, the certificate of surveyor shall be issued; if not, the reasons for failure shall be clearly stated in the minutes of the surveyor assessment; the registration unit, the registrar, is entitled to request the Vietnam Register to re-evaluate after 01 month from the date of the unsatisfactory assessment.

Receipt of dossiers and return of results are carried out directly at the Vietnam Registry Department, via the postal system, or by online form.

Conditions for granting certificate of motor vehicle registrar in Vietnam

Conditions for granting certificate of motor vehicle registrar in Vietnam include:

+ Qualification: Graduated from a university majoring in mechanical engineering, the university training program has the following contents: Automobile theory, Automobile structure, Automobile calculation structure, Automobile technical maintenance, Internal combustion engine and Automotive electricity or equivalent contents. In the event that the above contents are incomplete, additional training may be provided at higher education institutions;

+ Having at least 12 months of professional practice as a registrar according to the contents prescribed by the Ministry of Transport. In case students have direct experience in performing automobile maintenance and repair at automobile warranty and maintenance establishments for automobile manufacturing, assembling, and importing enterprises according to the provisions of Decree 116/2017/ND-CP, if you have a cumulative working period of 12 to 24 months, the internship period is 06 months, over 24 months, the internship period is 03 months (the automobile warranty and maintenance facility shall base its decision on the working contract with the student and the student's social insurance record to confirm and take responsibility for the student's working time at the facility);

+ Having assessment results that meet the professional requirements for motor vehicle registrars according to regulations of the Ministry of Transport;

+ Have a valid driving license.

- Conditions for granting the certificate of advanced motor vehicle registrar:

+ Qualification: Graduated from a university majoring in mechanical engineering training, the university training program must have the following contents: automobile theory, automobile structure, automobile calculation structure, automobile technical maintenance, internal combustion engine, and automobile electricity, or equivalent contents;

+ Being a motor vehicle registrar with at least 36 months of experience;

+ Having assessment results that meet the professional requirements of high-level motor vehicle registrars according to regulations of the Ministry of Transport.
