Electronic toll collection for all expressways in Vietnam from August 1, 2022 is the mandate set out at conclusion of Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh in Notice 186/TB -VPCP on implementing the non-stop electronic toll collection system.

According to the notice, Vietnam's Deputy Prime Minister, Le Van Thanh, has assigned the following tasks for the coming period:
- The Ministry of Transport and localities in Vietnam should focus on directing investors to complete the installation of the remaining toll lanes before July 31, 2022, to deploy synchronous electronic toll collection nationwide from August 1, 2022;
Electronic toll collection will start launching at all expressways.
- VEC Corporation will:
+ Concentrate on taking steps to expedite the installation of the remaining toll lanes (mobilizing human resources, equipment, and improving implementation methods, for example).
+ Work closely with VETC Electronic Toll Collection Co., Ltd. to complete all installation and operation of non-stop toll collection at toll booths before July 31, 2022 as committed.
- The Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam directs the police of units and localities (before July 15, 2022) to strengthen the work of ensuring security, order and traffic safety by monitoring the operation of the non-stop electronic toll collection;
Regulating traffic, resolutely handling violations and taking advantage of any opportunity to disrupt traffic order and safety at the toll collection area.
- Assigning the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with relevant agencies in, formulating a draft of the Prime Minister's Directive to direct the work of affixing tags for means of transport, and submit it to the Prime Minister before March 30, 2022.
