On May 24, 2022, the Ministry of Education and Training issued the Official Dispatch No. 2153/BGDDT-KHTC on revenues in education and training in Vietnam in the academic year 2022-2023, in which, directs local authorities to post and announce information about prices of textbooks in Vietnam.

The Ministry of Education and Training shall post up and publicize information on prices of textbooks in Vietnam
Accordingly, with regard to textbooks, educational materials and equipment proposed by the Ministry of Education and Training to localities in Vietnam:
To post up and publicize information on prices of supplies, educational equipment and textbooks in their localities in Vietnam;
Including the inspection and handling of violations, ensuring the publicity and transparency in accordance with the provisions of the Price Law and the relevant documents.
In addition, the Ministry of Education and Training shall also intensify the inspection, supervision and accountability to learners and the society for fees and charges of educational institutions under its management as stipulated in the Decree No. 127/2018/ND-CP.
The Ministry of Education and Training also requests ministries, central agencies, provincial/municipal People's Committees and educational institutions to:
- Absolutely not let the situation of "abnormal revenue" has happened at the beginning of the school year;
- Direct the mobilization, management and use of sponsorships and grants in accordance with Circular No. 16/2018/TT-BGDDT;
- Direct and expeditiously comply with the Circular No. 36/2017/TT-BGDDT on commitments on education and training quality, conditions for assurance of quality and revenues and expenditures;
- Take responsibility to the learners and the society for the fees.
