According to Official Dispatch 649, to adequately prepare for the prevention and control of disease in educational institutions when students return to school, the Department of Health requires relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals to effectively coordinate in implementing the directives and guidelines on disease prevention and control. To be specific:

For parents: You must monitor the child's health before they go to school. If the child shows signs of illness, such as fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, you must keep the child at home and inform the school of the reason for the absence and report it to the nearest medical facility.

For teachers: In addition to teaching duties, teachers must observe if any student shows signs of illness (fever, cough, difficulty breathing, etc.). If a student shows signs of illness, they must be required to wear a protective mask, be isolated immediately and taken to the school's medical room, inform the parents, and report to the nearest medical facility.

After that, all remaining students must leave the classroom, and the classroom must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. Students must wash their hands, be given masks, and then return to the classroom to continue learning. Additionally, monitor the health signs of students in the same class for the next two weeks.

Temporarily close the classroom if 2 or more children develop illness within 7 days, and the epidemiological survey results indicate the possibility of transmission among the affected children.

Temporarily close the entire school if 2 or more classrooms have affected children, and the epidemiological survey results indicate the possibility of transmission between classrooms. This decision should be based on the proposal of the health authority and the agreement of the sector leaders and with the approval of the City People's Committee.
