According to Vietnam's Circular 02/2021/TT-BGDDT, from March 20, 2021, the professional titles of primary school teachers include:

• Grade III primary school teacher - Code V.07.03.29;

• Grade II primary school teacher - Code V.07.03.28;

• Grade I primary school teacher - Code V.07.03.27.

According to Vietnam's Circular 02/2021/TT-BGDDT, guidelines for the salary ranking for the above-corresponding primary teacher professional titles are as follows:

- Grade III primary school teachers, code V.07.03.29, shall apply the salary coefficient of grade A1 officials, from the salary coefficient of 2.34 to the salary coefficient of 4.98;

- Grade II primary school teachers, code V.07.03.28, shall apply the salary coefficient of public officials grade A2, group A2.2, from salary coefficient of 4.00 to salary coefficient of 6.38;

- Grade I primary school teachers, code V.07.03.27, shall apply the salary coefficient of A2 and A2.1 public employees, from salary coefficient of 4.40 to salary coefficient of 6.78.

It can be seen that, from the effective date of this Circular (ie from March 20, 2021), teachers who meet the new training standards as prescribed in the Law on Education 2019 (ie have a university degree from a teacher training major or higher or a university degree in a discipline relevant to the subject taught together with a pedagogical certificate for primary school teachers and above) will be entitled to a salary coefficient of at least 2.34 for the professional title of primary school teacher grade III, the lowest is 4.00 for the professional title of primary school teacher grade II, and the lowest is 4.40 for the professional title of grade I primary school teacher.

Note: When appointing to the professional title category, the salary ranking is guided by Clause 1 Section II of Vietnam's Circular 02/2007/TT-BNV on salary ranking guidelines when raising ranks, transferring ranks, changing types of civil servants and public employees, and according to current legal regulations. When implementing the new salary policy, the new salary arrangement must comply with the Government of Vietnam's regulations.
