The Ministry of Finance has just issued Circular 22/2022/TT-BTC guiding the management and use of recurrent expenditures for the implementation of the National Key Program for Mathematical Development in the 2021-2030 period.

Accordingly, in order to attract students to study mathematics and improve learning quality, in Clause 2, Article 6 of Circular 22/2022/TT-BTC , it stipulates that scholarships to encourage math students are as follows:
+ Students majoring in Mathematics are awarded scholarships by the Council according to the criteria prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training.
+ The scholarship level is equal to the current school year's tuition ceiling for Mathematics majors at higher education institutions, specifically 2.4 million VND/month. Scholarships are awarded for each semester and for 10 months in the academic year.
In addition, Article 6 of Circular 22/2022/TT-BTC also stipulates a number of expenditures on talent training and improving the quality of human resources in Mathematics such as:
- Expenses for training and fostering for students, pedagogical students of Mathematics, teachers of core Mathematics, high school teachers specializing in Mathematics; organize refresher courses for pupils and students on topical topics in modern mathematics in order to discover and foster mathematical talents; To foster teachers of Mathematics at higher education and vocational education institutions:
+ Expenditure content and level of expenditure shall comply with the provisions of Circular 36/2018/TT-BTC .
+ For students, foreign students who are selected to participate in Maths talent training classes under the decision of the Ministry of Education and Training are supported with travel expenses, rooms and accommodation allowances according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. prescribed in Circular 40/2017/TT-BTC .
- Expenses for financial support for PhD students to attend international conferences, seminars and short-term internship abroad in the fields of Applied Mathematics and Industrial Mathematics:
+ PhD students with good academic results according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training are invited to attend international conferences, seminars or to do short-term internships abroad in the fields of Applied Mathematics and Public Mathematics. Employers are supported with travel expenses and living expenses (maximum no more than once per year during the standard training period of the program) according to the provisions of Circular 102/2012/TT-BTC .
+ In case the PhD student is supported with expenses related to attending international conferences, seminars or short-term internship abroad from other sources, the state budget will not support. expenses related to attending international conferences, seminars or short-term internships abroad.
