SALARY TABLE OF TEACHERS OF ALL LEVELS IN 2020
This draft specifically stipulates the summer break time for educators as follows:
- The annual summer break duration for preschool teachers is 08 weeks, during which they will receive full salary and allowances, subsidies (if any). (This regulation is currently also stipulated in Circular 48/2011/TT-BGDDT);
- The annual summer break duration for teachers in general education institutions and special schools is 08 weeks, including annual leave as stipulated by the Labor Code, during which they will receive full salary and allowances (if any). (Currently, Circular 28/2009/TT-BGDDT and Circular 15/2017/TT-BGDDT stipulate that the annual summer break for this group is 02 months (including annual leave as stipulated by the Labor Code), during which they will receive full salary and allowances (if any));
- The annual summer break duration for teachers in vocational schools and lecturers in colleges is 08 weeks, including both Tet holidays, public holidays, annual leave, and other days off as stipulated by the Labor Code, during which they will receive full salary and allowances (if any). (Currently, Circular 07/2017/TT-BLDTBXH stipulates that the annual leave for educators is 08 weeks including summer break, Tet holidays, public holidays, wherein the summer break substitutes for the annual leave, during which they will receive full salary and allowances (if any));
- The annual summer break duration for lecturers at universities is decided by the university's president or director of the higher education institution.
Based on the framework of the academic year schedule issued by the Ministry of Education and Training and the specific conditions of the locality, the chairman of the provincial People's Committee decides the summer break period for preschools and general education institutions in the area; based on the conditions of vocational schools and colleges, the school's principal decides the summer break time for educators.
This draft replaces Decree 75/2006/ND-CP guiding Education Law 2005. It can be seen that compared to Decree 75, this Draft has added regulations on the annual summer break duration for educators (currently, Decree 75 does not have these summer break regulations, which are only scattered across documents such as Circular 48/2011/TT-BGDDT, Circular 28/2009/TT-BGDDT, Circular 07/2017/TT-BLDTBXH), while also standardizing the summer break duration for teachers at all levels to 08 weeks (currently, preschool teachers have 08 weeks while general education teachers have 02 months).
