How should the teachers's behavior and etiquette be at all level in Vietnam?

The Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam has specific regulations on the behavior and etiquette of teachers at all levels. Below are the details of the regulations.

1. Preschool teacher's behavior and etiquette in Vietnam

- The behavior and etiquette of teachers and staff shall comply with regulations of the education authority and the law. Teachers and staff shall not:

+ Insult the honor or dignity or violate the body of children and colleagues; 

+ Conduct unfair treatments for children;

+ Twist the educational content;

+ Skip working hours or teaching sessions; arbitrarily crop the program for children’s nurture, care, and education;

+ Do private matters while organizing activities of nurturing, caring, and educating children.

+ Smoke, drink alcohol, or use other stimulants while participating in activities of nurturing, caring, and educating children.

- Outfits of teachers and staff must be appropriate and meet the requirements for nurturing, caring, and educating children and requirements on office outfits.

2. Elementary teacher's behavior and etiquette in Vietnam

- The behavior and etiquette of teachers and staff shall comply with regulations of the education authority and the law. Teachers and staff shall not:

+ Distort the educational content or teach the wrong content of knowledge.

+ Cheat in testing and evaluation; intentionally misjudge students' educational results.

+ Force students to study more for material purposes.

+ Waste time, skip lessons, or arbitrarily cut educational content.

+ Violate the dignity and honor of others or infringe on their bodies; smoke, drink beer, or disrupt security and order.

3. High school teacher's behavior and etiquette in Vietnam

- Prohibited acts for teachers and staff:

+ Strip students and coworkers of their honor or dignity; infringe upon bodily integrity of students and coworkers.  

+ Act dishonestly during an examination or admission process; act dishonestly during assessment of student performance; skip teaching or cut teaching or educational contents without permission.

+ Distort teaching or educational contents; teach wrong knowledge or contents that are against the education guidelines or viewpoints of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the State.

+ Force students to take extra classes for money; take advantage of educational sponsorship or assistance to forcibly extract cash or kind contributions.

+ Smoke or consume alcohol or other stimulants while participating in teaching or educational activities.

+ Hinder support given to teaching or educational activities and other activities.

- Teachers and staff must have the language and manners that are appropriate to the education settings and help educate students.

- Teachers and staff must wear attire that is appropriate to the education settings and in compliance with the Government’s regulations on attire of public employees.

- Teachers and staff shall not commit other prohibited acts provided for by regulations of law.
