Hai Duong: Students to be off from school due to COVID-19 from January 29 until further notice

This is the remarkable content stated in Official Dispatch 289/UBND-VP of Hai Duong province on allowing students in the province to leave school to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic from January 19, 2021.

Specifically, after reviewing the Vietnam's Report 91/TTr-SGDDT of the Department of Education and Training on asking for ideas for students to leave school for disease prevention and control and Vietnam's Report 192/TTr-SLDTBXH on the implementation of the urgent measures in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic at vocational education institutions and establishments participating in vocational education activities in the area, the People's Committee of Hai Duong province has the following comments:

- Agreeing with the proposal of the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs: allowing students at preschool and general education institutions, vocational education centers, continuing education, centers for foreign languages, informatics, cultural and life skills training, universities, vocational education institutions, and establishments participating in vocational education activities throughout the province to be off from school from January 29, 2021 until further notice.

- The Department of Education and Training, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, and the People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities in Vietnam shall direct and guide educational institutions to strengthen the strict implementation of COVID-19 prevention and control measures; At the same time, there are plans to study online or make up exams for students to ensure the good implementation of the 2020–2021 plan.
