Guidelines for Preliminary Admission to Hanoi Procuracy University in 2017 in Vietnam

On March 10, 2016, the Supreme People's Procuracy issued Official Dispatch 748/VKSTC-V15 guiding the preliminary selection process for the Hanoi Procuracy University in 2017. The application dossier for preliminary selection includes:

- Application form for examination or admission (Preliminary application form);

- Self-declared curriculum vitae (according to the form) with certification from the People's Committee of the ward, commune, commune-level town where the permanent residence is registered; stamps across photos and between pages of the curriculum vitae (declared in 2017);

- Transcript extracts (according to the form) for candidates currently studying in the 12th grade of high school or continuing education. If the candidate has graduated from high school from 2016 or earlier, a copy of the high school transcript and diploma or a temporary graduation certificate must be submitted.

- Medical examination certificate issued by a medical authority from the district level or higher, within 06 months up to the point of application submission.

- 04 portrait photos sized 4x6 cm.- Envelopes with stamps and clearly written name, address, and phone number of the recipient (for the provincial People's Procuracy to send the notification about the time and place for preliminary selection).

Preliminary selection period from April 1, 2017 to April 14, 2017

The process for receiving preliminary application dossiers and organizing preliminary selection:

- District-level People's Procuracy:

+ Receive preliminary application dossiers from candidates with permanent residence in the area; the time for receiving applications is from March 13, 2017, to March 31, 2017; the location for receiving applications is the headquarters of the district-level People's Procuracy.

+ Collect a preliminary selection fee of 50,000 VND per candidate and issue a receipt for the preliminary selection fee to the registrant. The district-level People's Procuracy will allocate the collected fees to the provincial-level People's Procuracy at 30,000 VND per dossier;

- Provincial-level People's Procuracy:

+ Schedule the preliminary selection period (from April 1, 2017, to April 14, 2017) and specify the location for each preliminary selection session (it may be at the provincial-level People's Procuracy headquarters or according to district clusters within the province to ensure the most convenience for candidates). Preliminary selection results must be announced to candidates no later than April 14, 2017.

+ Assign the district-level People's Procuracy where the candidate submitted their preliminary application dossier or directly notify the candidate about the time, place of the preliminary selection, and the required documents to bring (such as ID card or household registration book) at least 5 days before the preliminary selection day.

Recruiting only 400 regular university places, Major in Law

Candidates applying must meet the conditions as specified by the Ministry of Education and Training (including those who are directly admitted and those with prioritized admission), be a member of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union or the Communist Party of Vietnam, and meet the preliminary selection requirements as stipulated by the People's Procuracy sector. The application conditions include:

- Must be a Vietnamese citizen, with a clear political history, strictly adhering to the policies of the Communist Party, and the laws of the State; have parents, siblings, or spouse who have no criminal record to the extent of being sentenced (except for traffic criminal violations); not older than 25 years by the year of the exam.

- Have graduated from high school; in the 3 years of high school, academic results in grades 10 and 11 must be at least average; grade 12 academic results must be at least above-average; conduct must be rated from above-average or good in all high school years. For candidates who are 12th graders in the school year 2016-2017, the academic results in grades 10, 11 and the first semester of grade 12 will be considered.

- Must have sufficient health to study and work, meeting the following criteria:

+ Males with a minimum height of 1.60m, weight 48kg or more; females with a minimum height of 1.55m, weight 45kg or more.

+ Not deformed, disabled, not stuttering, lisping, not suffering from chronic or prolonged illnesses.

In 2017, Hanoi Procuracy University will recruit 400 regular university places for the Law major. Among these, the recruitment for female students will have a separate quota not exceeding 40% of the total training quota. There are no restrictions on the ratio of female candidates in the preliminary selection and registration at Hanoi Procuracy University. The quota allocation for subject combinations and exam subjects includes: Combination 1 is 25% of the quota, combination 2 is 25% of the quota, combination 3 is 40% of the quota, and combination 4 is 10% of the quota. The acceptance scores for each combination are determined from high to low based on the total exam scores of candidates until the allocated quota for gender (Male, Female) and region (North, South) are filled.

Subject combinations for admission:

- Combination 1: Maths test and two subjects in Physics, Chemistry part of the Natural Sciences test.

- Combination 2: Literature test and two subjects in History, Geography part of the Social Sciences test.

- Combination 3: Literature, English, Maths test.- Combination 4: Maths, English, and Physics part of the Natural Sciences test.
