The equivalence in foreign language and informatics levels for primary school teacher professional titles is as follows:
- The following cases are identified as meeting the foreign language level requirement or are not required to meet the foreign language level criterion according to the professional title standards:
+ Male teachers aged 55 or older, and female teachers aged 50 or older as of December 31 of the year of appointment to the professional title rank;
+ Teachers working in ethnic minority areas who are ethnic minorities themselves or have minority language certificates issued by authorized training institutions; teachers working at semi-boarding ethnic schools, boarding ethnic schools with minority language certificates issued by authorized training institutions;
+ Teachers working at specialized schools using sign language or Braille in teaching for disabled persons;
+ Teachers with a Master's degree or higher (for rank I); a Bachelor's degree or higher (for ranks II, III) in a foreign language major, or a Master's degree or higher (for rank I); a Bachelor's degree or higher (for ranks II, III) in other majors studied abroad or in a foreign language within Vietnam, recognized by competent authorities.
- The following cases are identified as meeting the informatics level requirement or are not required to meet the informatics level criterion according to the professional title standards:
+ Teachers with an intermediate degree or higher in informatics or information technology related majors;
+ Teachers with a college or university degree in dual-subject majors that include informatics such as Mathematics - Informatics, Physics - Informatics;
- The equivalence between other foreign language certificates and those according to the 6-level foreign language proficiency framework for Vietnam, and the equivalence between other informatics certificates and those meeting the basic information technology application standards, shall be implemented according to guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Information and Communications (if any).
- The acceptance and usage of certificates/certifications to determine the foreign language and informatics levels of primary school teachers at ranks III, II, I, and the interconversion between foreign language and informatics certificates shall be implemented according to current regulations and guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training.
