According to Article 4 of Circular 42/2021/TT-BGDDT, the list of education and training databases developed and managed uniformly by the Ministry of Education and Training throughout the education sector includes:
- Database on preschool education.
- Database on general education.
- Database on continuing education.
- Database on higher education (applicable to higher education institutions and pedagogical colleges).
2. Content of education and training database in Vietnam
The contents of the education and training database under Articles 5, 6, 7 and 8 of Circular 42/2021/TT-BGDDT are as follows:
2.1. Contents of the Database on Preschoo Education in Vietnam
The contents of the database on preschool education include:
- Information on the network of preschool educational institutions, including: information about the educational institution, types of education, information about main schools, schools (if any); and other information as prescribed.
- Information about the kindergarten, child group/kindergarten class (collectively referred to as the class) includes:
List of classes, age-group classes, compound classes, two-day classes, day-boarding classes, educational programs, and other information as prescribed.
- Team information includes: basic information about educational institution managers, teachers, and employees on general information, professional qualifications, the training and retraining process, reward, discipline, computer skills, foreign languages, assessment of professional standards, and other information as prescribed.
- Learner information includes: curriculum vitae, results of the learning process, upbringing, health of the child, and other information as prescribed.
- Information on facilities and equipment in the school, including: basic information about facilities, teaching equipment, children's toys, and other information as prescribed.
- Financial information includes: basic information about the financial resources provided (revenue), expenditures, and other information.
- Other information as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training and competent management agencies.
2.2. Contents of the General Education Database in Vietnam
The contents of the database on general education (including elementary, middle, and high school levels) include:
- Information on the network of general education institutions, including: information about the educational institution, types of education, information about main schools, schools (if any) and other information as prescribed.
- Class system information includes: basic information about the list of classes, compound classes, classes with 2 sessions per day; day-boarding classes, foreign language classes, classes with integrated students; and other information as prescribed.
- Team information includes: basic information about educational institution managers, teachers, and employees on general information, professional qualifications, the training and retraining process, reward, discipline, computer skills, foreign languages , assessment of professional standards, and other information as prescribed.
- Learner's information includes: information about the curriculum vitae, the learning process, the learning results, the results of the assessment of capacity - quality, training, health, and other information as prescribed.
- Information on facilities and equipment in a general education institution, including: basic information about facilities, teaching equipment, and other information as prescribed.
- Financial information includes: basic information about the financial resources provided (revenue), expenditures, and other information as prescribed.
- Other information as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training and competent management agencies.
2.3. Contents of the Database on Continuing Education in Vietnam
The contents of the continuing education database include:
- Information on the network of continuing education institutions, including: information about the main educational institution and other educational institutions (if any), the type of education, and other information as prescribed.
- Class system information includes: basic information about the list of classes, class types, learning forms, study programs, vocational and vocational training, boarding, and other information as prescribed.
Team information includes: basic information for educational institution managers, teachers, and employees on general information, professional qualifications, the training and retraining process, reward, discipline, computer skills, foreign languages, assessment of professional standards, and other information as prescribed.
- Learner information includes: information about a resume, the learning process, learning results, training, health, and other information as prescribed.
- Information on facilities and equipment in the continuing education institution, including: Basic information about facilities, teaching equipment, and other information as prescribed.

- Other information as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training and competent management agencies.
2.4. Contents of the Higher Education Database in Vietnam
The contents of the Higher Education Database include:
- Information about the network of higher education institutions, including: information about the educational institution, type of education, information about the head office, other headquarters (if any), branches (if any), organizational structure, School Council, Management Board , Scientific Council and other information as prescribed.
- Information on the list of training disciplines, including: fields, groups of industries, training branches each training institution is allowed to train, and other information as prescribed.
- Training program information includes: basic information about the training program, type of program, training course, type of training, output standards; and other information as prescribed.
- Team information includes: basic information about educational institution managers, lecturers, staff, and researchers; general information, professional qualifications; the process of training and retraining, programs and disciplines participating in teaching, commendation, discipline, computer skills, foreign languages, scientific resumes; and other information as prescribed.
- Learner information includes: information about a resume, enrollment, learning process, learning results, training, diplomas, graduation, employment, and other information as prescribed.
- Science and technology information includes: a network of science and technology organizations, scientists, scientific and technological activities, and scientific and technological products.
- Information on facilities and equipment in the higher education institution, including: basic information about the conditions for ensuring facilities, teaching equipment, and other information as prescribed.
- Financial information includes: basic information about the financial resources provided (sources of revenue), expenditures, budget payment, fund appropriation, and other information as prescribed.
- Information on international cooperation and cooperation with enterprises, including: international cooperation programs and projects; staff and students who are foreigners; programs and projects to cooperate with enterprises in mobilizing resources for training and scientific research.
- Other information as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training and competent management agencies.
