According to Circular 02/2021/TT-BGDDT, standards for training and fostering qualifications and corresponding salary coefficients for each professional title for primary school teachers in Vietnam are as follows:

Salary coefficient of Class A1 public employees: change from salary coefficient 2.34 to salary coefficient 4.98; (From 3,486,000 VND to 7,420,000 VND) |

Have a certificate of training according to the professional title standards of grade III primary school teacher (For new primary school teacher recruited as grade III primary school teacher, they must have a certificate within 36 months from the date of recruitment). |

Thus, from March 20, 2021, teachers who meet new training qualifications according to the provisions of the Law on Education 2019 (i.e., have a university degree in a teacher training field or higher, or a university degree in a major appropriate to the teaching subject along with a pedagogical certificate for primary school teachers or higher) will apply the lowest salary coefficient of 2.34 for the professional title of primary school teacher grade III, the lowest of 4.00 for the professional title of primary school teacher class II, and the lowest of 4.40 for the professional title of primary school teacher grade I.
