1. Commendation criteria for students who win prizes in national and international competitions in Vietnam

According to Article 3 of Decree 110/2020/ND-CP, reward standards for students and students who win prizes in national and international competitions

- Awarding the first-class Labor Medal to students who achieve one of the following achievements:

+ Winning the Gold Medal in the international Olympic competition of subjects two times in a row or winning the first prize in the international scientific and technical research contest two times in a row;

+ Winning the Gold Medal in the World Vocational Skills Competition. 

- Awarding the second-class Labor Medal to students who achieve one of the following achievements:

+ Winning the Gold Medal in the international Olympic competition of subjects or the first prize in the international scientific and technical research contest;

+ Winning a Silver Medal in the World Vocational Skills Competition or a Gold Medal in the Asian Vocational Skills Competition.

- Awarding the third-class Labor Medal to students who achieve one of the following achievements:

+ Winning the Silver Medal in the International Olympic Competition of Subjects or the Second Prize in the International Scientific and Technical Research Competition or the Gold Medal in the Asian Olympiad in Subjects;

+ Winning the Bronze Medal in the World Skills Competition or the Silver Medal in the Asian Skills Competition.

- Awarding the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to students who achieve one of the following achievements:

+ Winning the Bronze Medal in the International Olympiad of Subjects or the Third Prize in the International Scientific and Technical Research Competition or the Silver Medal in the Asian Olympiad in Subjects;

+ Winning the Bronze Medal in the Asian vocational skills exam or the Gold Medal in the Southeast Asian vocational skills exam.

- Awarding the Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training or the Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs to students who achieve one of the following achievements:

+ Winning the bronze medal in the Asian Olympiad in all subjects;

+ Winning a Silver or Bronze medal in the Southeast Asian vocational skills exam;

+ Winning consolation prizes, fourth prizes, excellent vocational skills certificates, and honorary degrees (hereinafter referred to as consolation prizes) in international exams specified in Clause 2, Article 2 of Decree 110/2020/ND-CP;

+ Winning first prize, second prize, or third prize in national competitions as prescribed in Clause 1, Article 2 of Decree 110/2020/ND-CP.

2. Bonus levels for students who win prizes in national and international competitions in Vietnam

Specifically, in Article 5 of Decree 110/2020/ND-CP, the bonus levels for pupils and students who win prizes in national and international exams are regulated as follows:

(1) Pupils and students who win prizes in the International Olympiad in subjects, the International Scientific and Technical Research Competition, and the World Vocational Skills Competition shall be rewarded according to the following levels:

+ Gold medal or first prize: 55 million VND;

+ Silver medal or second prize: VND 35 million;

+ Bronze medal or third prize: VND 25 million;

+ Consolation prize: 10 million VND.

(2) Pupils and students who win prizes in the Asian Olympiad in subjects and the Asian vocational skills exam are rewarded according to the following levels:

+ Gold Medal: 35 million VND;

+ Silver medal: VND 25 million;

+ Bronze medal: 10 million VND;

+ Consolation prize: 8 million VND.

(3) Students who win prizes in the Southeast Asian vocational skills exam are rewarded according to the following levels:

+ Gold Medal: 25 million VND;

+ Silver medal: 10 million VND;

+ Bronze medal: 8 million VND;

+ Consolation prize: 5 million VND.

(4) Pupils, students, and trainees who win prizes in national exams specified in Clause 1, Article 2 of Decree 110/2020/ND-CP are rewarded according to the following rates:

+ First prize: 4 million VND;

+ Second prize: 2 million VND;

+ Third prize: 1 million VND.

(5) Teams, groups of pupils, students, and trainees who win prizes in the exams specified in Article 2 of Decree 110/2020/ND-CP will be awarded twice the amount of money for individuals specified in (1), (2), (3), and (4).

(6) Pupils, students, and trainees who are ethnic minorities or disabled people and who win prizes in the exams specified in Article 2 of Decree 110/2020/ND-CP are entitled to 1.5 times the reward level. specified in (1), (2), (3), (4), and (5).

In the event that students, trainees who are ethnic minorities, and people with disabilities win prizes in the exams specified in Article 2 of Decree 110/2020/ND-CP, they are entitled to 02 times the reward level specified in Clauses (1), (2), (3), (4), and (5).

(7) Pupils, students, and trainees are entitled to the bonus level as prescribed in Decree 110/2020/ND-CP and the bonus level specified in Decree 91/2017/ND-CP.
