Maternity benefits for female workers are stipulated in the Law on Social Insurance 2014, Decree 115/2015/ND-CP, and Circular 59/2015/TT-BLDTBXH with specific provisions as follows:
Labor laws are enacted and applied in practice with the primary aim of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of employees. Particularly, in the current context, female workers constitute a significant portion of the workforce in our country. The State also stipulates certain policies to ensure the health and rights of female employees participating in the labor force.
The 2019 Labor Code, which is in effect, will continue to implement policies protecting pregnant female employees. Pregnant female employees should take note of the following issues to safeguard their rights.
