Recently, the Government of Vietnam has issued the Decree No. 123/2020/NĐ-CP prescribing invoices and records. This Decree stipulates that if electronic receipts are used, they must follow the standard format prescribed by tax authorities.
According to the Decree No. 123/2020/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government, the application of electronic invoices is officially mandatory from July 01, 2020 in Vietnam. Enterprises when switching to using electronic invoices should pay attention to the following issues:
On October 19, 2020, the Government of Vietnam issued the Decree No. 123/2020/NĐ-CP prescribing invoices and records. According to this Decree, the official time to apply electronic invoices is from July 01, 2022. Below is the guidance on application for use of e-invoices from July 01, 2022.
