The Ministry of Health of Vietnam requests to verify the vaccine passport information before May 5, 2022

The Ministry of Health of Vietnam issued Dispatch 1975/BYT-CNT April 19, 2022 on "cleansing" of COVID-19 vaccination data and implementation Sign "Vaccine Passport".

According to the Official Dispatch in Vietnam, in order to promptly serve people's travel and international trade, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam proposed that the People's Committees of provinces and cities assign a working group for the implementation of Scheme for development and application of population and identification data, and electronic authentication serving national digital transformation for the period of 2022-2025, and vision until 2030 (hereinafter referred to as “Scheme No. 6”) as follows:

- Take charge and direct the “cleansing” of COVID-19 vaccination data in accordance with Official Dispatch No. 1495/BYT-CNTT dated March 24, 2022 regarding addition and authentication of COVID-19 vaccination data serving connection to the National population database. 

- Direct provincial vaccination facilities to organize review and thorough handling of complaints of the general public regarding COVID-19 vaccination data on the COVID-19 vaccination website and maintain handling of complaints in accordance with guidelines under Official Dispatch No. 9458/BYT-CNTT dated November 8, 2021 of Ministry of Health of Vietnam.

Simultaneously, apply digital signatures to vaccination recipients whose information has been authenticated and cross-checked against the National population database under the guidance of the Ministry of Health of Vietnam.

Deadline: before May 5, 2022.

In addition, it is necessary to understand that the heads of vaccination facilities are responsible if the people's vaccination information is incorrect and not updated in time, affecting the issuance of vaccine passports for travel and international trade.
