From January 01, 2021, the Law on Investment 2020 of Vietnam will take effect. This Law will change many business investment policies. Below is the list of narcotic substances banned from investment according to the Law on Investment 2020 of Vietnam.

According to Point a Clause 1 Article 6 of the Law on Investment 2020 of Vietnam, business in narcotic substances specified in Appendix I hereof is banned. To be specific, the list of narcotic substances banned from investment is as follows:

Note: CAS number (Chemical Abstracts Service) is the Chemical Registration Number of the American Chemical Association (according to the QCVN 19-1:2015/BYT).
Thus, from January 01, 2021, the Law on Investment 2020 of Vietnam will take effect and completely replace the Law on Investment 2014, according to which the list of narcotic substances banned from investment shall increase from 15 substances to 47 substances, concurrently being classified more specifically than the current regulations.
