From January 01, 2021, the Decree No. 156/2020/NĐ-CP prescribing penalties for administrative violations against regulations on securities and securities market will officially take effect. According to this Decree, the fines for violations against regulations on license for establishment and operation will be severely increased from 2021.

Thus, from January 01, 2021, the Decree No. 156/2020/NĐ-CP of the Vietnam’s Government will completely replace the Decree No. 108/2013/NĐ-CP dated September 23, 2013 and Decree No. 145/2016/NĐ-CP dated November 01, 2016 of the Government, in which most of the fines for violations against regulations on license for establishment and operation will be increased.
