- Shipwrecked property must be notified to the competent authority for coordination in accordance with statutory procedures. Responsibility to provide information concerning shipwrecked property and authorities receiving information concerning shipwrecked property are prescribed in Decree No. 05/2017/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government as follows:

- Vietnam: Obligation to pay the costs of disposing of sunken property

- Owners who salvage sunken property themselves shall bear the costs of disposing of the property. In case the property is salvaged by a competent agency, the obligation to pay expenses is prescribed as follows:
