Nowadays, the majority of employees with labor contracts will be required to participate in compulsory social insurance. However, if you fall into the following cases, you are not required to participate in compulsory social insurance.
On September 6, 2021, the Government of Vietnam promulgated Resolution 101/NQ-CP on solving problems in implementing compulsory social insurance with Deputy Commanders of Military, Deputy Chiefs of Public Security of communes and officials working under labor contracts at Commune People's Committees.
Recently, Vietnam Social Security has Official Letter 881/BHXH-CSXH on solving problems in implementing compulsory social insurance for Deputy Military Commander Commune, Deputy Chief of Commune Police and people working under employment contracts at commune-level People's Committees.
