Workplace of the Customs Authority

Accordingly, Circular 85 stipulates that the workplace of customs authorities at warehouses and locations organized by businesses or individuals must meet the following conditions:

- Location: within the area of the warehouse or location planned for new recognition or already recognized, or situated within a single piece of land under the enterprise's usage rights, facilitating customs inspection and supervision work.

- Area: minimum area of 20 m², separated from the surrounding area, ensuring the customs authority's inspection and supervision work.

- For central gathering, inspection, and supervision locations at seaports, international airports, and international border gates, the customs office must have a minimum area of 50 m².

- Additionally, Circular 84 stipulates that the equipment must meet the following requirements:

- A computer installed with management software, connected to the management system of the business managing the warehouse or location, and connected to the Customs Department's electronic data processing system in accordance with the General Department of Customs' regulations.- Equipment for connecting to the camera surveillance system of the business or individual managing the warehouse or location to monitor, store, retrieve, and display images of all export, import goods areas, and entry/exit gates of the warehouse or location.- Other office equipment (tables, chairs, filing cabinets, landline phones).- Technical infrastructure (power source, lighting, information technology infrastructure) ensuring operational conditions.
