Recently, the Government of Vietnam signed to promulgate Decree 93/2015/ND-CP regulating the organization, management, and activities of defense and security enterprises.
Currently, National Defense and Security Enterprises are state-owned enterprises established or reorganized to carry out stable and regular tasks in sectors, fields, and areas directly serving national defense, security, or ensuring national secrecy and security.

Pursuant to Clause 2, Article 6 of Decree 93/2015/ND-CP, employees in national defense and security enterprises are subject to the following policies:
- The salary of employees who are officers, professional soldiers, and non-commissioned officers is calculated in accordance with the policies of the law for officers, professional soldiers, and non-commissioned officers and based on the business results of the enterprise.
- When performing national defense and security tasks, if employees are injured or die and meet the conditions and standards, they shall be considered and recognized as people with meritorious services according to the law on people with meritorious services; employees suffering from occupational accidents shall be entitled to occupational accident benefits in accordance with labor law regulations.
In addition, the state will support the payment of the minimum number of employees required to maintain the operation of national defense and security production lines in the event of a temporary production halt with no capability of self-covering the costs.
