Recently, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Vietnam issued the Plan for counter-terrorism operations of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam for the year 2024.

On May 31, 2024, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Vietnam issued Decision 1459/QD-BVHTTDL regarding the work plan for counter-terrorism operations of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam for the year 2024.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Vietnam issues the work plan for counter-terrorism for the year 2024 with the following purposes, requirements, and tasks:
(1) Purpose
- Effectively implement the Law on counter-terrorism and the regulations of the Government of Vietnam and the National counter-terrorism Steering Committee to enhance the responsiveness of units within the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry) to terrorist situations.
- Promptly cooperate with relevant authorities such as the Police, Military, and various agencies and organizations within Hoan Kiem District to promptly address situations related to protests, disturbances, riots, and terrorism.
- Minimize the risk of terrorism, the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, and activities that jeopardize the security and safety of the Ministry's operations; promptly and strictly control to minimize damage (if any) during terrorist activities, the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, and activities that threaten the security, safety of cultural, sports, and tourism activities; raise awareness among officials, public employees, and workers of the Ministry regarding counter-terrorism and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction; fully comply with the law, focusing resources to meet international standards on counter-terrorism, and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
(2) Requirements
- Thoroughly disseminate the directives and regulations from the Government of Vietnam and the National counter-terrorism Steering Committee regarding counter-terrorism.
- Strictly adhere to the State's laws, actively grasp the situation, and master all scenarios in preventive efforts, ensuring no incidents of terrorism or disorder within the Ministry.
- Closely coordinate with relevant departments within the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Defense, and other related agencies to formulate plans, implement counter-terrorism measures, and adjust plans in accordance to the Ministry's functionality and tasks.
