According to Decision 110/QD-TTg dated January 28, 2024, on strengthening the Steering Committee for Administrative Reform of the Government, the members of the Steering Committee for Administrative Reform of the Government of Vietnam include:
(1) Head of the Steering Committee: Prime Minister
(2) Deputy Heads of the Steering Committee:
- Deputy Prime Minister, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee;
- Minister of Home Affairs, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee.
(3) Members:
- Minister, Chairman of the Government Office;
- Minister of Justice;
- Minister of Finance;
- Minister of Information and Communications;
- Minister of Foreign Affairs;
- Minister of Planning and Investment;
- Minister of Science and Technology;
- Minister of Education and Training;
- Minister of Health;
- Minister of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs;
- Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism;
- Minister of Industry and Trade;
- Minister of Transport;
- Minister of Construction;
- Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development;
- Minister of Natural Resources and Environment;
- Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam;
- Minister, Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Affairs;
- Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate;
- Deputy Minister of National Defense;
- Deputy Minister of Public Security;
- General Director of Vietnam Television;
- General Director of Radio Voice of Vietnam;
- General Director of Vietnam News Agency;
- Chairman of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology;

The Steering Committee for Administrative Reform of the Government is established to perform the following important tasks:
- Research and propose important principles, policies, initiatives, and solutions to enhance the administrative reform of the Government; provide opinions on the long-term administrative reform program and annual operational plan of the Steering Committee submitted by the Ministry of Home Affairs to the Government.
- Assist the Prime Minister in directing, coordinating, and cooperating among ministries, sectors, and localities in implementing administrative reform tasks; reviewing the content of important administrative reform projects and proposals, draft resolutions and decrees of the Government, decisions and instructions of the Prime Minister mainly related to administrative reform before submitting them to the Government for consideration and decision.
- Assist the Prime Minister in supervising, monitoring, and evaluating the implementation of the administrative reform program and plan, as well as the objectives, tasks, and solutions regarding administrative reform.
- Summarize, review, and evaluate the situation and results of implementing key tasks and solutions for administrative reform, propose directions and solutions to enhance administrative reform.

To effectively carry out the above tasks, the Steering Committee will have specific powers:
- Establish subcommittees or working groups to assist the Steering Committee in implementing the administrative reform program and plan.
- Be invited to attend meetings chaired by the Prime Minister or Deputy Prime Ministers, meetings of ministries, sectors, and relevant local authorities related to the tasks of the Steering Committee.
- Invite leaders of ministries, sectors, localities, and representatives of other relevant agencies and organizations to attend meetings and working sessions of the Steering Committee.
- Request ministries, sectors, localities, state agencies, organizations, and individuals to provide information and documents for the implementation of the tasks of the Steering Committee.
- Organize working delegations, urge and promote the implementation of tasks and solutions for administrative reform; and the implementation of administrative reform plans and programs.
