Which standards are public security units eligible for fitness training funding?

This is a notable regulation mentioned in Circular 24/2013/TT-BCA issued by the Ministry of Public Security, stipulating the physical training standards within the People’s Public Security force.

According to Article 14 of Circular 24/2013/TT-BCA, the units are allowed to allocate funds for the work of physical training inspection in the People's Public Security force according to the standards including:

- Repairing playgrounds, purchasing equipment and means for training and inspection;- Renting playgrounds for inspection work;- Providing allowances for members of the inspection committee and medical staff as per point b, clause 1, Article 4 of Joint Circular 200/2011/TTLT-BTC-BVHTTDL dated December 30, 2011 of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, which stipulates financial spending policies for sports competitions, with the spending level not exceeding 60,000 VND/person/day during the inspection period. The inspection period (entitled to allowance policies) is decided by the unit head.

The aforementioned expenses are covered by the regular funding for sports activities annually allocated by the Ministry of Public Security to local and unit police forces.

Note, the facilities for physical training inspection including running tracks, jumping pits, pull-up bars, etc., must ensure sufficient distance, size, and standards. If the unit does not have adequate facilities, it can rent or borrow from the sports sector or relevant agencies to organize inspections. The organization of inspections must ensure absolute safety and economy.

During the inspection process, sufficient medical staff, means, and emergency medicines must be arranged to promptly handle injuries or sudden illnesses that may occur.
