Which Exhibits Do Not Need to Be Sealed?

On November 16, 2017, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 127/2017/ND-CP specifying the procedures for sealing and unsealing exhibits.

According to regulations, all evidence must be sealed after collection, except in the following cases:

- Evidence that is living animals or plants.- Evidence that is documents included in the case file.- Evidence that is perishable or difficult to preserve.- Other evidence that the authority or authorized individual conducting the proceedings deems unnecessary to be sealed.

Sealing and unsealing of evidence are organized and conducted by the following officials:

- Head, Deputy Head of the investigative agency, investigator.- Chief, Deputy Chief, and investigative officers of the agencies tasked with conducting certain investigative activities.- Authorized individuals as prescribed by law who are handling the case during the prosecution, trial, and execution of the judgment stages.
