Which Cases Are Given Priority in the Admission Process for Studying Abroad?

This is a notable content stipulated in Circular 06/2016/TT-BGDDT issued by the Ministry of Education and Training on March 21, 2016, to promulgate the regulations on recruitment for studying abroad.

Accordingly, Circular 06 stipulates that the following subjects are given priority for admission to study abroad:

- Candidates from agencies and localities prioritized for human resource training as prescribed by the Government of Vietnam;- Candidates with outstanding achievements in study and scientific research;- Other priority subjects as per current State regulations and specific scholarship programs.

Additionally, Circular 06 also specifies the priority training sectors, including:

- Training sectors that align with the orientation and development plan for human resources in each stage; specific sectors that need priority training for human resources serving national programs, projects, and schemes approved by the Government of Vietnam;- Sectors that Vietnam is not yet capable of training or where the quality of training does not meet actual needs, and the number of personnel in these sectors in Vietnam is still insufficient.- Sectors for which foreign countries prioritize granting scholarships to Vietnam.
