Which Agency or Unit is Responsible for Asset Accounting of Road Infrastructure?

This is the content of interest issued by the Minister of Finance in Circular 178/2013/TT-BTC, detailing and guiding the implementation of certain articles of Decree 10/2013/ND-CP regulating the management, use, and exploitation of road traffic infrastructure assets.

The agencies and units responsible for accounting for road infrastructure assets are specified in Circular 178/2013/TT-BTC as follows:

- The Road Management Area or the agencies and units directly assigned by the Ministry or central agencies to manage road infrastructure assets shall be responsible for accounting the road infrastructure assets under central management (including road infrastructure assets entrusted by the Ministry of Transport to localities).- The Department of Transport shall be responsible for accounting the road infrastructure assets under the province's management (including road infrastructure assets assigned by the Provincial People's Committee to other agencies and units for management).- The District People's Committee shall be responsible for accounting the road infrastructure assets under the district's management.- The Commune People's Committee shall be responsible for accounting the road infrastructure assets under the commune's management.
