When is the Re-certification of Inland Waterway Vessel Inspectors Recognized?

Circular 49/2015/TT-BGTVT stipulates that a Registration Officer for inland waterway vehicles who has completed their duties without any disciplinary actions, within 03 months before the Certificate of Registration Officer expires, must submit the dossier for re-recognition as a Registration Officer pursuant to Point a, Clause 2, Article 23 of this Circular. The Vietnam Register will verify the practical competency in professional tasks and re-recognize according to Clause 1, Article 24 of this Circular.

Additionally, the Circular stipulates that a person recognized as a Registration Officer but not performing the duties of a Registration Officer recorded in the Appendix of the Registration Officer Certificate within 12 months, will have their re-recognition as a Registration Officer verified by the Vietnam Register according to the actual competency in professional tasks pursuant to Clause 1, Article 24 of this Circular before being allowed to perform the duties once recognized.

Furthermore, during the registration period, if a Registration Officer violates the discipline and is suspended from duty, after the disciplinary period ends, the registration unit must submit a request for re-recognition as a Registration Officer pursuant to Point a, Clause 2, Article 23 of this Circular. If the Registration Officer Certificate is still valid, the Vietnam Register will issue a re-recognition document for the Registration Officer. In the case where the Registration Officer Certificate has expired, the Vietnam Register will re-verify the actual competency in professional tasks and re-recognize the Registration Officer according to Article 24 of this Circular.
