Recently, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs issued Circular 04/2014/TT-BLDTBXH guiding the implementation of policies on equipping personal protective equipment.
According to the provisions in Circular 04/2014/TT-BLDTBXH, workers are equipped with personal protective equipment if, in the course of their work, they are exposed to one of the following hazardous and toxic elements:
- Exposure to adverse physical factors;- Exposure to dust and toxic chemicals;- Exposure to toxic biological elements, poor occupational hygiene environment:
- Harmful bacteria, viruses that cause disease, harmful insects;- Feces, water, garbage, foul-smelling sewers;- Other toxic biological factors;
- Working with machines, equipment, labor tools, working in positions where dangerous labor postures can easily cause labor accidents; working at heights; working in mines with oxygen deficiency; working on rivers, in forests, or other hazardous, toxic working conditions.
Note: Decision 1407/1997/QD-BLDTBXH; Circular 10/1998/TT-LDTBXH; Decision 68/2008/QD-BLDTBXH and other documents contrary to the provisions of this Circular shall be invalid as of April 15, 2014.
