What qualifications must a Class I newscaster meet?

To attain the title of Grade I Radio Announcer, a public employee must fully meet the following requirements regarding qualifications and competencies:

Regarding educational and training qualifications:

- Possess a university degree or higher;- Have basic information technology skills according to Circular 03/2014/TT-BTTTT;- Have foreign language proficiency at level 4 (B2) according to Circular 01/2014/TT-BGDDT;- Hold a refresher course certificate for the title of Grade I Radio Announcer.

Regarding professional and occupational competencies:

- Have a firm grasp of the viewpoints, directions, policies, directives, resolutions of the Communist Party, and laws of the State; the provisions of the Press Law, Publishing Law, and other related legal regulations;- Be proficient in professional skills; in workflows, technical norms, terminologies, grammar, and language style;- Have a thorough understanding of sociology, customs, practices, and preferences of domestic and foreign audiences;- Have chaired or participated in reading at least 03 works recognized by the specialized art and science council or won awards; or participated in at least 02 theoretical projects, research on professional scientific theories;- Public employees promoted from Grade II Radio Announcer to Grade I Radio Announcer must fully meet the above regulations and have held the title of Grade II Radio Announcer or equivalent for a total of at least 06 years, of which at least 02 years must be in the title of Grade II Radio Announcer.
