What are the duties of a Member of the Audit Quality Inspection Team? (illustration)
According to Clause 2 Article 17 Circular 157/2014/TT-BTC, 9 duties of a member of the Audit Quality Inspection Team are stipulated as follows:
- Sign a written commitment regarding independence and confidentiality with the entity being inspected as per regulations and ensure compliance with such commitments;
- Refuse to conduct the inspection if independence is not ensured, if professional competence is insufficient, or if standards according to regulations are not met;
- Perform tasks assigned by the Head of the Inspection Team with integrity, objectivity, honesty, impartiality, and maintain professional prudence;
- Collect sufficient and appropriate evidence to form the basis of inspection conclusions regarding the tasks assigned by the Head of the Inspection Team. Promptly report to the Head of the Inspection Team about the existing issues and errors identified during the inspection;
- Do not transfer tasks to others without the consent of the Head of the Inspection Team;
- Participate in meetings between the Inspection Team and the entity being inspected on issues related to the scope of the assigned inspection;
- Sign the Inspection Report and other related documents concerning the tasks performed as assigned by the Head of the Inspection Team;
- Do not disclose information about records or inspection documents except as required by law;
- Comply with the regulations on audit service quality control as stipulated in this Circular.
