Recently, the Circular No. 12/2013/TT-BTTTT was issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam, providing guidance on licensing telecommunications services.
Currently, there are many businesses that want to do business in the field of telecommunications services, however, they do not know well about the regulations on licenses.
According to Article 3 of Circular No. 12/2013/TT-BTTTT of the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam, to provide telecommunications services, telecommunications services providers having network infrastructure must obtain licenses to establish public telecommunications network prescribed in Article 19, Article 20, and Article 21 of the Decree No. 25/2011/ND-CP dated April 06th 2011 elaborating and providing guidance on the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on telecommunications and licenses to provide telecommunications services as prescribed in the Circular No. 05/2012/TT-BTTTT dated May 18th 2012 of the Minister of Information and Communications on the classification of telecommunications services.
Moreover, to provide telecommunications services, telecommunications services providers without network infrastructure must obtain licenses to provide telecommunications services as prescribed in the Circular No. 05/2012/TT-BTTTT dated May 18th 2012 of the Minister of Information and Communications on the classification of telecommunications services.
Thus, as can be seen, depending on the network infrastructure for telecommunications service providers to prepare different types of licenses to suit the requirements.
