This is a key provision in Decree 119/2020/ND-CP of the Government of Vietnam on penalties for administrative violations in journalistic and publishing activities in Vietnam, issued on October 07, 2020.
What is the fine for acts of quoting incomplete information about the broadcasting and television service price in Vietnam (Internet image)
Article 17 of Decree 119/2020/ND-CP stipulates a fine ranging from VND 5,000,000 to VND 10,000,000 for any of the following violations:
- Failure to install or properly install the broadcasting name and logo on channels as prescribed;
- Quoting incomplete information about the service price or service package price associated with basic information and specifications of the service or service package;
- Failing to comply with regulations on declaration of broadcasting quality;
- Failure to comply with regulations on self-inspection and supervision of broadcasting quality;
- Failure to notify the licensing authority in writing within 30 days from the official change of the address of the head office, the legal representative, the certificate of business registration, the certificate of investment registration.
Additionally, a fine ranging from VND 10,000,000 to VND 20,000,000 will be imposed for any of the following violations:
- Installing the broadcasting name and logo on channels serving political missions and essential propaganda;
- Failure to keep or properly keep records of supply of broadcasting at request and added value contents;
- Failure to properly implement the certificate of registration for the list of channels of pay broadcasting;
- Obstructing or delaying agreement on the point of receiving the signals and channels in service of political missions and essential propaganda for broadcasting providers;
- Failure to issue internal regulations on self-inspection of broadcasting quality as prescribed;
-Failure to register the form-based contract with a competent regulatory agency or use the contract inconsistently with the registered form-based contract;
- Failure to quote or completely quote information about the service price or service package price associated with basic information and specifications of the service or service package;
- Failure to declare or properly declare broadcasting quality;
- Failure to comply with regulations on self-inspection and supervision of broadcasting quality.
