What is the Fee for the Evaluation and Handling of Radioactive Waste in Vietnam?

Below content is detailed in Circular 287/2016/TT-BTC stipulating the rates, collection policies, payment, management, and use of fees and charges in the field of nuclear energy in Vietnam.

According to the regulations in Circular 287/2016/TT-BTC, the fee levels for appraisal and issuance of permits for the handling and storage of radioactive waste and used radioactive sources in Vietnam are as follows:

No Fee collection items Unit Fee (VND)
4.1 Appraisal for issuance of permit for handling and storage of radioactive waste 1 facility 60,000,000
4.2 Appraisal for issuance of permit for handling and storage of used radioactive sources:
4.2.1 Used radioactive sources with above-average radiation hazards or in quantities equal to or greater than 10 sources 1 location 20,000,000
4.2.2 Used radioactive sources with average radiation hazards in quantities less than 10 sources 1 source 2,000,000
4.2.3 Used radioactive sources with below-average radiation hazards in quantities less than 10 sources 1 source 1,000,000
