What Functions Do Veterinary Councils at All Levels Have?

On June 2, 2016, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development issued Circular 12/2016/TT-BNNPTNT stipulating the organization, functions, tasks, and powers of Veterinary Councils at various levels.

According to the provisions of Circular 12/2016/TT-BNNPTNT, Veterinary Councils at various levels have the following functions:

- The Central Veterinary Council has the function of advising the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development on veterinary activities under the Ministry's management scope.- The Provincial Veterinary Council has the function of advising the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development on veterinary activities under the Department's management scope.

Also according to Circular 12/2016/TT-BNNPTNT, the establishment of Veterinary Councils at various levels is regulated as follows:

- The Central Veterinary Council is established by decision of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.- The Provincial Veterinary Council is established by decision of the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.- The Central and Provincial Veterinary Councils have a term of 5 years.- Members of the Veterinary Councils shall receive remuneration according to legal regulations when performing advisory tasks.
