What are the responsibilities of Vietnamese officials and public employees in thrift and wastefulness prevention?

On June 14, 2007, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 103/2007/ND-CP stipulating the responsibilities of heads of agencies, organizations, units and the responsibilities of Vietnamese officials and public employees in thrift and wastefulness prevention.

What are the responsibilities of Vietnamese officials and public employees in thrift and wastefulness prevention? (Illustration photo)

According to the provisions of Article 15 of Decree 103/2007/ND-CP, the responsibilities of Vietnamese officials and public employees in thrift and wastefulness prevention include:

1. Vietnamese officials and public employees, within the scope of their duties and authority, are responsible for detecting and proposing measures for thrift and wastefulness prevention; simultaneously, they must take responsibility for their proposals if they are found to be contrary to the regulations on thrift and wastefulness prevention.

2. Vietnamese officials and public employees who detect behaviors violating thrift and wastefulness prevention must report to the competent authority to take preventive measures.

3. Vietnamese officials and public employees are responsible for implementing measures for thrift and wastefulness prevention, while also being accountable for their own violations regarding the regulations on thrift and wastefulness prevention.
