Circular 33/2010/TT-BTNMT regulates the level of study and zoning of iron resource level 334 in Vietnam as follows:

1. Level of study and zoning of iron resource level 334a:

- Level of geological study and zoning of resource

+  It is required to establish the indicators of iron ore and favorable geological premises for the formation of iron ore;

+ The location, thickness, and quality of iron ore are determined based on discrete sampling results at exposures or inferred from mines or outcrops with similar geological conditions that have been studied in more detail.

- Zoning of resource boundary

+ Resources level 334a are primarily inferred based on regional geological survey data on mineral resources at a scale of 1:25000 - 1:50000, based on geological indicators for iron ore formation or inferred from studied mines with similar geological conditions.

- Level of study of investment in mine construction and degree of economic efficiency

+ For this resource level, data on investment studies for mine construction and economic efficiency evaluation are not required.

2. Level of study and zoning of iron resource level 334b:

- Level of geological study and zoning of resource

+  It is required to establish the premises for the presence of iron ore and favorable geological premises for the formation of iron ore;

+ The location, thickness, and quality of iron ore are determined based on discrete sampling results at exposures or inferred from mines or outcrops with similar geological conditions that have been studied in more detail.

- Zoning of limit to calculate resource

+ Resources level 334b are primarily inferred based on regional geological survey data on mineral resources at a scale of 1:50000 - 1:200000, based on favorable geological premises for iron ore formation or inferred from studied mines with similar geological conditions.

- Level of study of investment in mine construction and degree of economic efficiency

+ For this resource level, data on investment studies for mine construction and economic efficiency evaluation are not required.
