On June 29, 2020, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Circular 19/2020/TT-BGDDT stipulating the periodic reporting regulations under the state management scope of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Circular 19/2020/TT-BGDDT stipulates the deadline for periodic reporting under the management function scope of the Ministry of Education and Training as follows:
Quarterly periodic report: Conducted 04 times/year, the deadline for submission is no later than the 20th of the last month of the reporting quarter.
Semi-annual periodic report: Conducted 02 times/year, the deadline for submission is no later than June 20 (for the first half-year report) and December 20 (for the second half-year report).
Annual periodic report: Conducted 01 time/year, the deadline for submission is no later than December 20 each year.
Semester, academic year periodic reports: Conducted 01 time/year, the deadline for submission is no later than January 31 (for the first semester interim report) and June 30 (for the academic year summary report), except in special cases, force majeure affecting the academic year's timeline.
For periodic reports not in accordance with the reporting periods specified in clauses 1, 2, 3, 4 of this Article, the unit in charge of developing reporting policies must specifically stipulate the deadline for submission based on the reporting entity, content, and data cut-off time, but ensuring a timeframe of no less than 03 working days from the data cut-off time to the submission deadline or estimating the time from receiving to aggregating the report completion and dispatch.
For reports via the Ministry of Education and Training's Reporting Information System:
- The deadline for agencies and organizations to submit reports is 03 working days after the data cut-off date;- The timeframe for each level to aggregate the report is 03 working days.
For complex reports with many reporting entities and requiring synthesis through multiple agencies, units, and levels, the unit in charge of developing reporting policies must clearly stipulate the submission deadlines for each entity and reporting level.
The units in charge of developing periodic reporting policies must integrate report contents, share reporting information, ensuring that content within the same management field is only requested once per reporting period.
