Recently, the Ministry of Science and Technology issued Circular 11/2014/TT-BKHCN regulating the assessment and acceptance of results from the implementation of national-level science and technology tasks funded by the state budget.
What are responsibilities of the presiding Ministry in the assessment and acceptance of S&T tasks in Vietnam? (Illustrative image)
Circular 11/2014/TT-BKHCN stipulates the responsibilities of the presiding Ministry for national-level tasks in assessing and accepting national scientific and technological tasks as follows:
1. Responsibilities of the task management unit
- Guide the task manager, the hosting organization, and the members of the council in the assessment and acceptance of task results;
- Provide information and documents on the assessment and acceptance of tasks to relevant parties upon request;
- Host and cooperate with relevant parties to transfer the research results of the task;
- Maintain records of the assessment and acceptance of tasks according to regulations;
- Report on the organization of assessments and acceptance of task results and provide assessment records upon the request of the Head of the presiding Ministry.
2. Responsibilities of the administrative secretary
- Assist the council during the assessment process of task results, complete meeting minutes of the council, and other administrative procedures as prescribed;
- Prepare all necessary documents and conditions as required for the council's meetings.
3. The presiding Ministry must keep the information of experts and independent advisory organizations confidential.
