The conditions for recognizing the graduation of basic military intermediate professional training in Vietnam according to Circular 117/2009/TT-BQP are as follows:
First, students who meet the following conditions will be recognized for graduation:
- The average score of graduation exams is 5.0 or higher (The average score of graduation exams is the average of the graduation exam scores);
- At most, only one graduation exam subject may have a score below 5.0, but not lower than 4.5;
- Until the time of graduation recognition, students are not subject to disciplinary action from suspension or higher.
Second, based on the recommendation of the Graduation Review Council, the principal of the military school in Vietnam signs the decision to recognize graduation for students who meet the conditions stipulated in Clause 1 of this Article.
Third, students in Vietnam who do not meet the conditions for graduation recognition due to not meeting the required graduation exam scores mentioned above, or for special reasons who did not take all the exams, will be organized by the school to retake the subjects that did not meet the requirements within 3 to 6 months from the day the school announces the graduation exam results. The exam content, format, question setting, organization, exam grading, review and graduation recognition for these students will be carried out like the official graduation exam and decided by the principal of the military school.
Finally, students in Vietnam who do not meet the conditions for graduation recognition due to being prosecuted for criminal liability or subjected to disciplinary action from suspension or higher, until the time of graduation consideration, will have their graduation recognition postponed. Depending on the severity of the violation, the postponement period is at least 6 months or more and is decided by the principal. During this time, if the student is confirmed by the local government where they reside and the agency or organization where they work (if any) to have a good sense of self-cultivation and training, they will be considered for graduation recognition.
