Volume of Knowledge of major of Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue at Intermediate Level in Vietnam

Recently, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (Hanoi, Vietnam) has issued Circular 56/2018/TT-BLDTBXH stipulating the minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate level, college level in fields, occupations related to transportation services, environment and security.

Circular 56/2018/TT-BLDTBXH stipulates that students in the intermediate program specializing in Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue must complete a minimum volume of knowledge: 1,410 hours (equivalent to 50 credits). This includes the following knowledge:

- Present basic knowledge of mathematics, physics, chemistry, fundamental industry knowledge about fire, explosions, and knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics, construction, structures, physical fitness, health, and first aid; professional police skills such as martial arts, military training, etc., to meet the requirements in the field of fire prevention, fighting, and rescue;- Synthesize and analyze specialized knowledge such as fire prevention, fighting, rescue, vehicle and equipment management, propagation, and dissemination of knowledge, training in fire prevention, fighting, and rescue;- Present basic knowledge of politics, culture, society, law, national defense, and physical education as prescribed.

Furthermore, the minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation in the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue specialty at the intermediate level can be further developed at higher levels. Graduates are capable of self-study, updating scientific and technological advancements within the specialty to enhance their level or pursuing further studies to higher levels in the same specialty, group of specialties, or in the same field of training.
