To be specific, as we know, Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, was established in 1982 to honor the teaching profession and the gratitude of the teachers. This is an occasion for generations of students to express their deep gratitude to their teachers, and it is also an opportunity for the whole society to share joy and appreciation with those who have dedicated efforts and passion to the noble cause of education.

According to the regulations in Decision 167-HDBT of 1982 on Vietnamese Teachers' Day and Circular 26-TT of 1982, guiding the implementation of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, every year, from October, educational management levels and education unions need to proactively report to the authorities and unions to hold meetings to review the work situation and activities of the teachers; assess the work done and propose further tasks.

Especially, before or on November 20, education management officers need to have plans for leaders of party committees, government authorities, education councils, parents' associations, agencies, enterprises, unions, women, youth to visit and hold friendly meetings with teachers. On this occasion, commendations can be organized for teachers, staff, educational administrators with achievements (including retired officers and teachers).

Thus, November 20 every year is also an occasion to acknowledge the contributions and positive efforts of the teachers in teaching work. Therefore, in addition to organizing visits and friendly meetings, educational institutions can use this occasion to conduct commendations for teachers with achievements in teaching work.

Moreover, according to Decision 167, on November 20, schools can rearrange study and teaching schedules so that teachers can have a break and participate in the school's and local activities.
