Vietnam: Working regime and time of the Examination Council of the valuer exam

On April 16, 2014, the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam issued Circular 46/2014/TT-BTC on regulations regarding the examination, management, issuance, and revocation of valuer cards in Vietnam.

Article 15 of Circular 46/2014/TT-BTC stipulates the working regime and time, and compensation policies of the Examination Council of the valuer exam in Vietnam:

The working regime of the Examination Council of the valuer exam:

- The Council works collectively. Council decisions are passed when at least 2/3 of the Council members agree;

- The Council organizes at least one meeting before the exam and one meeting after the exam as decided by the Chairman of the Examination Council;

- The meeting agenda and content of the Council are notified in writing to the Council members at least 2 working days before the meeting.

The working regime of the assistance team:

- An assistance team is established for each exam and is dissolved after completing their tasks as per the Chairman of the Examination Council's decision;

- The Head of the assistance team is the secretary member of the Council;

- The assistance team is headquartered at the Department of Price Management under the Ministry of Finance.

Working time: The Council and the assistance team organize their meetings and activities within their duties and powers during official working hours. If it's necessary to work outside of official hours, the Chairman of the Examination Council will decide.

Compensation policies: Council members, the assistance team, and individuals participating in organizing the exam are entitled to remuneration and overtime pay (if any) extracted from the exam fees in accordance with the Ministry of Finance's regulations on the financial management of valuer exams.
