Vietnam: What is the purpose of the Competition for Excellent Leader of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization? (Illustrative photo)

Article 2 of the Regulations on the Competition for Excellent Leader of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization promulgated together with Circular 52/2012/TT-BGDDT stipulates the purpose of the competition as follows:

- To select, recognize, and commend teachers serving as homeroom teachers in charge of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization who achieve the title of Excellent Homeroom Teacher. It provides opportunities for these teachers to demonstrate their capabilities, learn, and exchange experiences regarding Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization activities and children's movements in schools;

- To contribute to the implementation of emulation movements in schools; encourage, motivate, and provide opportunities for teachers in charge of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization to train, self-study, and innovate. Through the competition, educational institutions, and the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization can identify, commend, and widely promote advanced examples, thereby enhancing the comprehensive education quality of students in each school, locality, and the entire nation, and drawing attention from societal forces to participate in student education;

- Serve as a basis for assessing the current situation of the teacher workforce in charge of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization, thereby developing training and retraining plans to improve the professional qualifications and skills of these teachers, meeting the requirements of educational innovation, Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization activities, and children's movements.

Note: The organization of the competition must ensure objectivity, honesty, fairness, educational impact, and encourage and motivate teachers acting as Leaders of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization to learn, exchange, convey, and disseminate experiences and models of Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization activities and children's movements in schools.
