Vietnam: What is the permissible voltage of human body?

The content is detailed in Circular 21/2016/TT-BYT of Vietnam, which stipulates National Technical Regulation - High Frequency Electromagnetic - Permissible Exposure Level of High Frequency Electromagnetic Intensity in the Workplace

Circular 21/2016/TT-BYT stipulates the permissible levels of induced currents and contact currents through the body from high-frequency electromagnetic fields not exceeding the values specified in the table below:

Frequency Induced current (mA) Contact current (mA)
Through both legs Through each leg
3KHz - 100KHz

>100KHz - 100MHz

>100MHz - 300MHz
2000 f^(3)^

200

1000 f^(3)^

100

1000 f^(3)^

100 ^(2)^

Notes:

(2) Although various standards provide for the maximum contact currents of high-frequency electromagnetic fields at frequencies above 300MHz, it is currently not possible to perform measurements above this frequency.

(3) f is the frequency measured in MHz.

Note: The measurement of induced currents through the human body is averaged over any 6-minute period, and contact currents are averaged over any 1-second period.

More details can be found in Circular 21/2016/TT-BYT, which comes into force in Vietnam from December 1, 2016.
