- Protecting the traffic surveillance system involves using measures to prevent, preclude, and handle acts of infringement upon the traffic surveillance system, ensuring the safe operation of the traffic surveillance system.
- The scope of protection for the traffic surveillance system includes all devices of the traffic surveillance system (terminal devices; center processing system devices, management software, and monitoring database for processing violations related to traffic order and safety; data transmission systems, and other auxiliary devices) installed on road routes and in the center.
- Responsibilities of units involved in protecting the traffic surveillance system:
- The General Department of Police for Administrative Management of Social Order and Safety presides and cooperates with the General Department of Crime Prevention and Control to direct and guide the police units and localities to implement measures for protecting the traffic monitoring system.
- The Department of Road and Railway Traffic Police is responsible for protecting the traffic monitoring system devices installed at the Centers under its management; inspecting, urging, and guiding local police in implementing measures to protect the traffic monitoring system.
- The Directors of Provincial Police are responsible for directing the Traffic Police Department, relevant professional units, and local police units where the traffic monitoring system devices are installed to ensure the safety of these devices, preventing theft, sabotage, or other incidents.
- The police units and localities with traffic monitoring systems that are stolen or vandalized are responsible for securing the scene and immediately reporting to the Provincial Police Director, the Head of the Road and Railway Traffic Police Department, and the competent procedural authorities to take measures in accordance with legal regulations.
