On December 28, 2018, Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH on the minimum knowledge volume and required competencies for graduates from intermediate (Level 4 of VQF) and college (Level 5 of VQF) levels in agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and veterinary was issued by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs of Vietnam.

According to the regulation on the minimum knowledge volume and required competencies for graduates from intermediate and college levels in Forest resources management issued together with Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, Forest resources management, Level 4 of VQFin Vietnam is a profession that performs technical tasks related to the management, protection, and development of forest resources, meeting the requirements of level 4 in the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework.
The main tasks to be performed include:
- Implementing steps in the investigation, monitoring, and development of forest resources to serve the protection and development of forest resources;
- Certain steps in the planning of forestry land use;
- Silvicultural technical measures affecting forests, enriching forests, and promoting forest regeneration;- Measures for planting and caring for forests;
- Exploiting and processing forest products;
- Taking technical measures in the management, protection, and fire prevention and fighting of forests;
- Implementing steps in the conservation and development of forest flora and fauna;
- Implementing propaganda and mobilization of people to participate in the management, protection, and development of forest resources;
- Guiding people in building technical measures for planting and caring for forests.
Graduates of Forest resources management, Level 4 of VQF in Vietnam are capable of organizing and managing production at facilities, undertaking work in the management and protection of forest resources, organizing and performing forest resource assessment and forest protection management to build, protect, and develop forest resources; possessing the skills to perform management and protection of forest resources at various units like forestry inspection, national parks, conservation zones, forestry enterprises, agricultural-forestry farms, and other agencies and organizations, while also being able to pursue higher levels of education.
The minimum knowledge volume is 1,400 hours (equivalent to 50 credits).
