Recently, the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam issued Circular 43/2010/TT-BGDDT regulating the compilation, selection, appraisal, approval, and use of intermediate-level training materials, including the standards for Chief editors and members of the Training Material Compilation Board.
Vietnam: What are the standards of the Intermediate-level Training Material Compilation Board? (Illustrative image)
Article 5 of Circular 43/2010/TT-BGDDT stipulates the standards for Chief Editors and members of the Intermediate-level Training Material Compilation Board in Vietnam as follows:
- Standards for Chief Editors:
+ Possess a university degree or higher in a field or major relevant to the specialized content of the training material;
+ Have at least 7 years of experience in teaching or managing at educational institutions offering vocational training.
- Standards for members of the Intermediate-level Training Material Compilation Board:
+ Possess a university degree or higher in a field or major relevant to the specialized content of the training material;
+ Have at least 5 years of experience in teaching at educational institutions offering vocational education or at higher education institutions;
+ Members working at enterprises, state management agencies, research agencies, or other bodies must meet the requirement stated in point a, clause 2 of this article, and have at least 5 years of professional experience relevant to the content of the training material.
- In cases where the training material is compiled by an individual, the individual must meet the standards for Chief Editors as stipulated in clause 1 of this article.
